The top priced Merino ram at the Orrie Cowie sale was this impressive stud sire purchased for $7,000 by Brett & Eric Koehler, Radnor stud, Murray Bridge; and held by Orrie Cowie principal, Dennis Dalla.

   

Clinton Bright, Seymour Park, Narrogin, WA purchased this 14 month old Orrie Cowie stud reserve privately for $15,500. He is with Jonathon and Dennis Dalla, Orrie Cowie, Warooka.

Kangaroo Island buying strength at the Orrie Cowie sale was very prominent. Orrie Cowie principal, Heather Dalla discusses purchases with Elders Area Wool Manager Craig Eckert (left) and Rob Ness, Parndana. Rob purchased 6 Merino and Poll Merino rams plus 4 White Suffolks, while Craig purchased 31 Merino and Poll Merino rams and 4 White Suffolk rams for 3 KI clients.

   

The second top priced ram at the Orrie Cowie sale at $8,000 was this Poll Merino; one of 3 purchased by David and Gavin Reade, Curramulka, SA. It is held by Jonathon Dalla, Orrie Cowie, Warooka.

Elders auctioneer, Craig Shearer (centre) is pictured at the Orrie Cowie sale with repeat Minlaton buyers Michael and David McSkimming. They purchased 3 rams this year.

   

Lyn & Kevin Chambers, Boyup Brook, WA, were back at the Orrie Cowie sale this year & picked out 2 top young autumn shorn rams. They are with Orrie Cowie principal Heather Dalla and the young Merino ram they paid $4,000 for.

Dennis Dalla, "Orrie Cowie", Warooka, holds the $17,500 top priced Poll ram  Nap116 for buyers Bevan, David and Gavin Reade, Curramulka. This ram has been used in the Orrie Cowie flock and weighed 116kg on sale day. His progeny are outstanding.
